A St Albans man got more than a parmigiana and chips when he was out for lunch at his local club last night and walked away with a Keno 8 Spot win over $67,000.

The Victorian man held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 137 on Tuesday 26 February 2019, scoring a massive $67,252.40 prize.

Sharing his excitement with a Keno official today, the over-the-moon winner revealed he was still in disbelief over the news.

“I was just out for dinner to have some fun with my family and friends,” he said.

“I thought I’d put a few dollars on Keno while I was there. Just a couple of dollars! I can’t believe it won me a 8 Spot.

“I couldn’t believe it. I still don’t know if it is real!”

When asked how he planned to spend his out-of-the-blue windfall, the shocked winner confessed he was yet to fathom the news and had not yet decided how he would spend the life-changing sum.

“I really don’t know. I can’t say!” he said happily.

“I might put it towards a deposit on a house!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning Keno 8 Spot entry at Westend Market Hotel, 47 McIntyre Road, Sunshine.

Westend Market Hotel Venue Manager Sabina Bellini said they wished their Keno winner all the very best with their prize.

“We love seeing our patrons score a Keno prize. They’ve always got some fun things planned for their windfalls. I’m sure this winner is no different,” she said.

“It’s great to see another win in our venue and we can’t wait to do it again!”

In 2018, Keno crowned 16 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $36.47 million.

Victorians win $5.92 million on average each month playing Keno in pubs and clubs across the state.

Last year in Victoria alone, players bought 8.28 million Keno tickets and won $71.10 million in cash prizes, including 165 individual 7, 8, 9, and 10 Spot jackpot prizes.
