A Wingham woman has credited her grandchildren as her lucky charms after scoring a $50,000 Keno win just weeks after adding their birthdates to her special number mix.
The New South Wales resident held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 329, drawn Friday 4 April 2025, and scored $50,180.80.
The winning woman admitted she had no idea she’d been carrying a $50,000 winning Keno ticket in her wallet for an entire week.
“I still can’t believe it!” the winning woman cheered.
“I had no idea I’d won anything for an entire week.
“I visited Tamworth for the weekend and put a couple of games of Keno on.
“It wasn’t until I was back to Tamworth a week later that one of the friendly staff pulled me aside and told me she thought my numbers had come up.
“So, we decided to check some of my tickets, and we were blown away.
“I immediately started shaking. I couldn’t believe my special numbers had finally come up.
“I’ve always told myself that they would come up one day.
“For years now, I’ve been using my children’s birthdates, and recently I added my grandkids too.
“I think my grandkids were the lucky charm I needed.”
With $50,000 set to boost her bank account this Easter, the cheery mum was looking forward to spoiling her kids and planning a family holiday.
“I will be buying extra chocolates for my kids this year. It’s going to be an extra sweet Easter.
“I’m also hoping to organise a family holiday for the end of the year.”
Her winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at The Pub, 99 Gunnedah Road, Tamworth.
