A Soldiers Point man who’s endured a tough couple of years is planning to celebrate at his local club tonight after discovering he won $25,000 in the recent 30 Years of Keno promotion.
The Hunter region player won $25,000 simply by purchasing a Keno ticket of $10 or more at a participating NSW Club.
This afternoon, an official from Keno reached out to the winner to break the exciting news.
“Oh my gosh! Thank you so much. What a nice surprise for a Friday,” he laughed.
“I’m stunned. This is awesome!
“I love playing Keno, and I always have my fingers crossed for a big win.
“I’m very excited by this. I will have to head back down to the club for some celebrating tonight.
“This win comes at an excellent time for me. It’s been a couple of trying years – being diagnosed with cancer and losing my mum shortly after.
“So, this win is great news and has left me feeling fantastic!
“It’s also going to be an enormous help as I’ll put it towards my business.
“Earlier this week, I bought a few hundred dollars’ worth of chocolates and delivered them to our local nursing homes and community hospital, so this feels like good karma. It’s awesome.
“Thanks so much! I could cry right now. This means so much.”
His winning ticket was purchased at Soldiers Point Bowling Club, 118 Soldiers Point Road, Soldiers Point.
The Soldiers Point Bowling Club team are thrilled for their winner and wish him all the best with his prize.
The 30 Years of Keno promotion ran from Sunday 13 March 2022 to 11.59pm (AEST) on Saturday 16 April 2022.
In 2021, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 36.2 million wins collectively worth more than $590.3 million.
