A Bossley Park woman who bought a Keno ticket because her daughter smashed a plate, was happy to discover that decision lead to a $52,000 win.

The New South Wales player held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 836 on Sunday 1 September 2019, delivering her $52,776.80.

Speaking with a Keno official this morning to confirm her prize, the happy woman explained how her Keno win came to be.

“It was crazy! It was like something out of a movie,” she explained.

“We went out for dinner as a family and we were just having a great time all together.

“My daughter actually dropped her plate on the ground, and it smashed and that’s considered lucky, so I decided to buy a Keno ticket.

“We were so distracted because we were all eating and talking, so we didn’t actually watch the draw.

“It wasn’t until I went up and checked my ticket that I realised I had won.

“It was such a brilliant surprise! My family was so excited, and we were all laughing and hugging each other.

“It was amazing!

“I feel very blessed. It feels as though it was meant to be.

“We celebrated for hours. We each got a nice glass of wine and then we went and got some ice cream.

“Honestly it was probably the best family outing we’ve ever had. It’s a night I will never forget.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the happy woman declared she would take her family on a holiday to Europe.

“It is going to help me so much,” she explained.

“We are going to go on a big family holiday to Europe.

“It’s a dream come true! Thank you so much.”

About Keno

Keno is a fun game played at more than 3,400 pubs and clubs across Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria.

A Keno draw occurs approximately every three minutes. During each draw, 20 numbers are drawn from 1 to 80. Players simply match the numbers on their entry to the numbers drawn for a chance to win over $1 million.

There are a range of Keno games to play, including Keno Mega Millions – a higher jackpot version of Keno Classic that uses the same Keno ball draw but gives players the chance to win $5 million or more.
