A Browns Plains woman is attributing her $100,000 Keno win on the weekend to a series of accidental events that saw her swap her usual numbers and play the “wrong” game when she was meant to be elsewhere.

The Logan player held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 369, drawn Saturday 30 April 2022. Her total prize was $103,355.60.

Speaking to a Keno official shortly after her win, the regular Keno player said she couldn’t quite believe her good fortune.

“I wasn’t even supposed to be there. I was meant to be out shopping, but I thought I’d pop in and put a ticket on,” she laughed.

“And I always play Keno Mega Millions, but by mistake, I put on this Keno Classic ticket. I’ve never done that before.

“I also mixed up my two sets of numbers that I always play. I swapped them around.

“It was all quite accidental. It was my fault, my stuff-up, but it worked.

“When I saw what happened, I just kept staring at the ticket! I couldn’t believe it.”

The Queensland shared she had yet to formulate plans for her Keno prize.

“I don’t know exactly what I’ll do with it just yet. It will certainly go straight into the bank for the future,” she said.

Her winning entry was purchased at Browns Plains Hotel, 64 Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains.

The team at the Browns Plains Hotel wished their latest big Keno winner all the best with their prize.

In 2021, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 36.2 million wins collectively worth more than $590.3 million.
