A Bundoora man has started his week with a bang and confessed he couldn’t wait to pay it forward after discovering he had scored a $66,000 Keno win.

The Melbourne resident held a winning Keno Classic 8 Spot entry in draw 960 on Monday 7 May 2024. His total prize was $66,205.90.

The gleeful Victorian revealed while there had been talk someone had won in the club he was completely oblivious it was him until he checked his ticket.

“I’m great! It’s very exciting!” he exclaimed.

“On the night, I was outside when my numbers came up, so I actually had no idea at first.

“Everyone in the club was talking about it and guessing who it was.

“I had to wait to check my ticket until my games were done. When I finally checked it, my jaw hit the floor.

“It’s incredible. I used the same good ol’ numbers I always use.”

With a wondrous $66,000 about to boost his bank account, the winning man shared he couldn’t wait to share with his family and treat himself to a new car.

“One thing I’d like to do is surprise my children. They deserve it,” he said.

“I’ll give them each a fair share and potentially buy a new car for myself.”.

The winning Keno Classic 8 Spot entry was purchased at Bundoora Hotel, 49 Plenty Road, Bundoora.
