A Semaphore man is today thanking a last-minute decision to stop in at a lotteries Kiosk on his way to work, unknowingly picking up a winning $50,000 Keno ticket.

The South Australian scored the $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 211129 542, drawn 29 November 2021.

Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the delighted man relayed the moment he uncovered his windfall.

“I was just passing through when I bought my ticket. I hadn’t planned it or anything, it was a last-minute thing,” he revealed.

“It wasn’t until I’d stopped to complete another job, that I checked this ticket. There was a new girl serving me and she said, ‘I’m new, let me try my beginner’s luck on you and see if this one’s a winner’.

“And that’s when I saw I’d won. I just kept saying, ‘What’s going on here? What’s this? No way!’.

“It was awesome. You beauty!

“I told my missus today and she was so shocked. There were lots of giggles and cheers.

“What a fantastic win right before Christmas too! It’s bloody beautiful. Thank you!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the Adelaide man said it had come at a fantastic time.

“There are some things we’ve been wanting to do around the house. We intended to do them next year, but this speeds things up, which is great,” he admitted.

“It’ll clear off some bills too and the rest we will save for the future.”

The winning entry was purchased at Central Market Lotteries Kiosk, Shop 64 / Central Market Arcade, Grote Street, Adelaide.

The Central Market Lotteries Kiosk are thrilled to have sold one of their customers a major prize winning entry and wish him all the best with his prize.
