A hard-working Seaford shift-worker is one step closer to turning her home-owning dreams into a reality after scoring a $68,000 win in a recent Keno draw.
The beachside resident scored the Keno Ways jackpot in Keno draw 981, drawn Sunday 5 October 2025 and looks forward to a total prize of $68,873.00.
So far in 2025, there have been three major Keno wins in the Melbourne’s southeast region, that have collectively taken home more than $292,000 in prize money.
“It’s amazing!” she exclaimed when an official from Keno reached out to confirm the news.
“I was at the local with some mates to watch the Rugby Grand Final. I put a game of Keno on using my trusty six numbers - never expecting to win!
“Most of them had work the next day, but because I’m a shift worker, I didn’t have work. I stayed back and decided to check my ticket with the hotel.
“The next thing I had known, I’d won $68,000!
“The only people I could celebrate with were the staff at the hotel!
“I can’t believe it. I’ll be able to put it into a long-term deposit and watch it grow. Eventually, I’ll buy a house with the deposit!
“Thank you so much.”
In FY25, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 76 million wins collectively worth more than $1.2 billion.
During this time, Keno crowned 20 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $57.9 million. Two of these major winners were from Victoria, including a Melton man who pocketed more than $2 million.
