A Sandstone Point man is today lauding his decision to switch up his Keno playing style after bagging more than $90,000 in a recent draw.

The Queenslander held a Keno Classic 8 Spot entry in draw 913, drawn Saturday 3 June 2023, and took home $90,353.60.

“I was playing 6 Spots and 4 Spots and not getting anywhere so I decided to change things up and add another couple of numbers,” the winning man explained when an official from Keno called to congratulate him on his windfall.

“I’m not one to stick around and watch the draw so I headed home and checked the results a bit later on.

“I thought, ‘oh god, I’ve got that one, and that one, and that one’, and before I knew it, I’d counted eight numbers and was on my way back to the pub!

“It’s so exciting to have won and it’s going to do so much for us.

“To be able to live with a little bit more freedom is going to be amazing.

“Thank you so much.”

The winning entry was purchased at Bribie Island Hotel, 25 Sylvan Beach Esplanade, Bribie Island.

Bribie Island Hotel venue manager Shaun Rowe said it was always wonderful to see a win of this kind change someone’s life.

“We’re over the moon! Patrons were extremely excited when the win popped up on screens across the venue and everyone was wondering who’d won,” he said.

“We’ll be celebrating this win for weeks to come and we’ll hopefully see another one in the near future.

“Congratulations to our winner and we hope they enjoy this win for a very long time.”
