A Rockhampton man believes Christmas has come early this year after scoring more than $291,000 in a recent Keno draw.

The Central Queensland resident held a Keno 9 Spot winning entry in draw 752 on Saturday 26 November 2022, and scored a total prize of $291,175.60.

“This is a ripper win!” he exclaimed when confirming his win with an official from Keno.

“I’m still struggling to believe it! Christmas has come early this year.

“It’s definitely going to make a big difference to my life, and I’ve already told my mum that she doesn’t have to worry about anything from now on.

“I’m going to make sure I look after her.

“I had a few plans that I thought might take more than 18 months to come together, but those have been moved forward after this.

“I just can’t believe this happened to me. It’s amazing!”

The Queenslander’s winning entry was purchased at The Criterion Hotel Motel, 150 Quay Street, Rockhampton.

The Criterion Hotel Motel owner Ryan Turnbull said he was over the moon his venue had sold a major Keno prize-winning entry.

“All the patrons and staff were so pumped when the win happened. We were waiting for the winner to realise and come forward,” he said.

“It’s been a while since we last sold a major Keno prize, so we’re sharing this news with the world and telling everyone who comes in that we landed a big win.

“We wish our big Keno winner all the best with their prize. Keep it real and look after you and yours.”

In FY22, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 62.2 million wins collectively worth more than $896.7 million.
