A Riverstone man’s night out with his wife this week was happily interrupted by a “beautiful” Keno win of more than $134,000.
The Sydney man held a Keno 9 Spot winning entry in game 74 on Wednesday 24 April 2019, serving him a $134,851.90 prize.
The 9 Spot win comes just days after a Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot win worth more than $6.59 million landed in the Sydney region.
When a Keno official confirmed his win this morning, the Riverstone man couldn’t hide his delight.
“This is just tremendous!” he exclaimed.
“My wife and I dropped in for dinner, and we watched the draw on the screen. It was quite amazing.
“My wife and I are regular Keno players and my wife likes to choose the numbers.
“We couldn’t believe it when we saw the numbers pop up on the screen. It was just too amazing, and the prize was bigger than we expected.
“We couldn’t finish dinner! We’d lost our appetite, and we couldn’t sleep that night either. It was just beautiful!”
The man said he and his wife had already begun contemplating how they would use their Keno Fun Money.
“It will go towards our nest egg and future retirement fund,” he declared.
“It will be invested for a while, and then after that, we’d like to buy a unit.
“So yay to Keno!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning Keno 9 Spot entry at The Pub at Rivo, Garfield Road East, Riverstone.
In 2018, Keno crowned 16 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $36.47 million.Ten of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT.
New South Wales players win $43.26 million each month on average playing Keno in pubs and clubs across the state.
