A Red Hill woman ticked one thing off her bucket list during the first week of the new year – a delightful $63,000 Keno win.

The northern Brisbane resident held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 235, drawn Friday 6 January 2023. Her total prize was $63,363.10.

This morning, an official from Keno reached out to the cheery woman, who exclaimed she was still trying to process the winning news days after the draw.

“It’s pretty exciting. We haven’t really comprehended the win!” she exclaimed.

“It’s something we’ve wanted to tick off in our life. We’ve used the same Keno numbers for years and have hoped these numbers would come up on the screen and surprise us. It did exactly that!

“We were out enjoying dinner as a family at the local club, and my dad turns to me and says, ‘I think seven of our eight numbers have come up on the Keno screen! Wait, maybe eight even?!’.

“My dad always watches the Keno screen at our regular outings, so it was a nice surprise for him to notify us about the major win!

“We never expect to win anything big when we put on a game of Keno - at least something to cover our lunch!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her fun money, the Queenslander shared it would go towards helping the family and home renovations.

“The main thing is to help out the family. That’s all we care about!” she shared.

“We might plan to some things around the house. Maybe some home renovations.

“Thank you so much!”

Her Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry was purchased at Brisbane Broncos Club, 98 Fulcher Road, Red Hill.

Brisbane Broncos Club operations manager Jared Melvin said their team couldn’t be happier to have sold a major Keno winning entry to a regular customer.

“It’s the best news and we’re so happy a regular customer has scored the win! It’s great when our regular players who support us score big,” he said.

“We will be notifying all of our patrons about the win and without a doubt, it will make everyone excited that someone has taken home a major Keno win at our venue.

“We would like to pass on our congratulations to the winning woman from everyone at the Broncos Club.”
