A Quakers Hill man is planning an around the world luxury holiday, flying business class, after winning more than $1.6 million in Keno.

The Sydney hospitality worker held a Keno 10 Spot winning entry in game 947 on Thursday 9 May 2019, taking home a $1,645,708,10 prize.

Confirming his win with a Keno official straight after the draw, the man explained the moment he became a millionaire.

“I’m going back to work next week for the first time after a five week holiday so I thought I’d pop into my local pub for a game of Keno,” he said.

“I was watching the draw unfold and I saw a few of my numbers come up.

“Then I kept seeing another number and another number and then I realised all ten of my numbers had appeared.

“I thought it was great! It was absolutely amazing!

“I’m very thrilled and excited!

“I’ve been using those same numbers for probably 10 or 15 years I suppose!

“The numbers are all special to me, they are based on family birthdays.”

The winner revealed his Keno prize had come at the perfect moment in his life, just before he was about to retire.

“I will still be going back to work next week but I’ll slow down a little bit more and retire very soon as I had always planned on doing,” he explained.

“It’s really going to help me enjoy my retirement!

“Our family and children will definitely get a lot of support from us.

“My wife and I will be booking an around the world ticket and it looks like we’ll be flying business class!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning Keno 10 Spot entry at Kings Park Tavern, Lot 4, Sunnyholt Centre, 214 Sunnyholt Road, Kings Park.
