A premonition has come true for a Wollongbar couple who today discovered they won a Keno 10 Spot prize of more than $1.3 million yesterday.

The New South Wales residents held a Keno 10 Spot winning entry in game 497 on 4 July 2019, taking home $1,313,387.20.

Confirming their news with a Keno official this afternoon, the stunned couple revealed they were completely oblivious to their win until they checked their ticket this afternoon.

“We can’t believe it! This is amazing news.” the emotional wife said.

“You have no idea what this means to us. It is a godsend!

“This will do so much for us. It’s completely life-changing.

“It’s a hell of a win, you can say that again. I can’t believe we’re millionaires!

“My mum had a premonition a few years ago that I would win Keno. I never really thought it would happen, but now it has.

“It feels crazy! We’ve been going through a rough patch, so this really has come at the perfect time.

“Thank you so much, love. You have changed our world.”

When asked how they planned to enjoy their prize, the excited woman said she had plenty of ideas.

“I want to help my family and friends,” she explained.

“We want to renovate our house and get a new car too.

“Then we will take our whole family on a holiday!”

The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their entry at Wollongbar Tavern, 53 Simpson Avenue, Wollongbar.

Wollongbar Tavern owner Gavin Brown said the tavern was celebrating selling a Keno 10 Spot winning entry.

“It’s very exciting for everyone at the tavern,” he said.

“For a community like Wollongbar it’s enormous!

“We are glad they have discovered their win and can begin living their lives as millionaires.

“We are very happy for our local winners and we wish them all the best with their prize.”

In 2018, Keno crowned 16 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $36.47 million.  Ten of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT.

New South Wales players win $43.26 million each month on average playing Keno in pubs and clubs across the state.

Last year in New South Wales alone, players bought 43.26 million Keno tickets and won $519.06 million in cash prizes, including 973 individual 7, 8, 9, and 10 Spot jackpot prizes.

More chances to win!

In late 2017, Keno released Mega Millions – a higher jackpot version of the current “Classic” Keno that uses the same Keno ball draw but gives players the chance to win $5 million or more every three minutes with a spend of $2 – just $1 more than the current game.

Keno is a fun, easy game that is played approximately every three minutes. Twenty numbers are drawn from the 80 available on the Keno display screen. Players simply match their numbers to the numbers drawn for a chance to win over $1,000,000 for as little as $1 per game
