A St Kilda man’s unwavering commitment to his special set of Keno numbers has paid off after he struck gold in a recent draw and scooped a $65,000 prize.
The Melbourne player scored a Keno Classic 8 Spot prize in draw 218 drawn Monday 3 November 2025. He pocketed a total prize of $65,643.60.
When speaking with an official from Keno, the cheery man shared he woke up the morning after his win questioning if it was all a dream.
“I’m very happy today!” he said.
“When I first woke up, it all felt like something of a dream.
“I’ve been playing the same set of numbers for more than five years, with each number holding a deep personal meaning.
“It feels great to win such a big chunk of money.
“I’ll continue to play my same set of numbers, as I feel they’re my special set. You know, Keno lightning can strike twice, too!”
With more than $65,000 heading his way, the winning man confessed he had many ideas swirling through his mind.
“I’m really looking forward to heading into the bank and cashing my cheque in,” he said.
“I’ve had a lot of ideas racing through my mind, but nothing concrete just yet.
“It’s great timing heading into the Christmas season. Thank you so much!”
His winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at St Kilda RSL, 88-90 Acland Street, St Kilda.
In FY25, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 76 million wins collectively worth more than $1.2 billion.
During this time, Keno crowned 20 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $57.9 million. Two of these major winners were from Victoria, including a Melton man who pocketed more than $2 million.
Victorians enjoyed more than 9.9 million Keno wins totalling more than $131.9 million across the state in FY25.
