A Pakenham man has struggled to convince his partner he has won $86,000 in Keno, admitting she thought he was pulling her leg.

The victorious Victorian held a Keno Mega Millions Spot 8 winning entry in draw 111, drawn Tuesday 13 September 2022. Their total windfall was $86,279.20.

Confirming his win with an official from Keno, the elated man said he’d won his major prize in the last game.

“My heart was racing – I couldn’t believe it,” he revealed.

“I watched the winning numbers come up online, one by one.

“Would you believe it?! I’d put on 50 games in a row, and it was the 50th game that won big!

“I told my partner straight away, and she thought I was joking.

“She kept saying, ‘I don’t believe you!’ She thought it was all just one big prank.

“It’s lovely.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his fun money, he shared that it would go towards some house maintenance and a long-awaited holiday.

“Due to some recent flooding, we need to mend some house issues. This really comes in handy!” he shared.

“My partner said we should go on the holiday that I’ve always wanted to do too, so I might do exactly that.”

His Mega Millions winning entry was purchased on the Keno – Let’s Play app.

Along with being played in over 3,500 pubs and clubs in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, Keno can now be played anywhere with the Keno app.

In FY22, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 62.2 million wins collectively worth more than $896.7 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 19 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $30.7 million.  Seven of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT, including a Sydneysider who picked up a $3.1 million windfall on Boxing Day while holidaying in Lake Macquarie.

Players in New South Wales and the ACT enjoyed more than 38.1 million Keno wins totalling more than $497.3 million across the region in the 12 months to 30 June 2022.
