It’s likely one thrilled Oxley Keno player is spending their Monday night celebrating after discovering they won a major prize yesterday.
The Brisbane resident held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 589, drawn Sunday 6 March 2022. Their total prize is $144,391.20.
However, how the winner plans to enjoy their Keno prize will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The mystery winner purchased their Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry at The Ox, Cnr Ipswich & Oxley Roads, Oxley.
The Ox venue manager Patrick Odgen said the entire team was in celebration mode after making a patron more than $140,000 richer.
“We couldn’t be happier, especially considering how tough it’s been with the floods. No doubt this will be a massive help,” he said.
“It was such a shock when the win went off. It’s a tremendous amount of money!
“Everyone was so happy. It’s completely lifted the atmosphere in the venue. Keno is the best!
“I can imagine the winner will be very grateful. We have so many amazing patrons, so we’re glad someone here has won a fantastic prize.
“Congratulations to our winner. The entire team is so excited for you.”
Keno spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was sure the latest winner had a spring in their step after discovering the win on Monday afternoon.
“While I don’t know what this Keno winner plans to do with their prize, I’m sure it chased away any Monday blues,” she said.
“In the past, our Keno winners have used their prize to renovate their home, go on family golfing or fishing trips, or book an adrenaline-pumping activity like skydiving.
“However our winner chooses to enjoy their Keno prize, we are sure they are already celebrating!”
