A Mortdale man who this week won a new car in a Keno promotion has declared the prize couldn’t have come at a better time after his car was recently involved in an accident.
The Southern Sydney resident scored himself a brand-new Volkswagen T-Cross 85TSI Life 7 Speed DSG valued at $30,700, simply by purchasing a ticket of $10 or more at a participating NSW club.
Sharing his excitement with an official from Keno , the gleeful man attributed his win to the local club team member telling him about the 30 Years of Keno promotion that offered the chance to win the car.
“Oh, bloody hell! That’s unreal!” he chuckled.
“You have no idea. My car was recently damaged in a car accident, so the timing is unreal.
“I was contemplating what to do since the car accident happened, but this answers everything!
“I’ve never entered one of these special draws, and the team member named George at the RSL club told me about the competition. I’m so glad I entered.
“I’ve been playing my numbers in Keno draws for years and years, but never in special promotion draws.
“Once I pick up the new car and take it for a spin, I’ll definitely celebrate!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Mortdale RSL Community Club Limited, 25 Macquarie Place, Mortdale.
The 30 Years of Keno promotion runs for another two weeks. Each week there’s a chance to drive home in a newVolkswagen T-Cross.
