A mystery Port Macquarie Keno Classic player has had a mid-week night out they will never forget, scoring more than $60,000 in Keno.

The New South Wales patron held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in game 682 played on Wednesday 15 July 2020 and takes home a prize of $64,237.40.

However, how the punter plans to use their Keno windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

The winning Keno Classic 8 Spot entry was purchased at The Westport Club, 25 Buller Street, Port Macquarie.

The Westport Club Marketing Manager Steve Binstadt said he wished the winner a massive congratulations.

“Wow! What a great win and a life-changing prize,” he said.

“It’s always exciting to play a part in these big Keno wins.

“Just a couple of weeks ago one of our patrons won $10,000.

“Congratulations to our latest winner. We wish them all the best.”

Keno spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she was sure the mystery Keno player would spend the weekend celebrating their win.

“While we may never know how they will enjoy their Keno fortune, I have no doubt they’ll be celebrating their windfall,” she said.

“In the past, our winners have used their prizes to pay off some bills, buy a new car and shout their friends and family dream holidays

“However our winner chooses to enjoy their windfall we are sure it has changed their lives!”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 17 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $47.2 million. Nine of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT, including a Newcastle man who pocketed the biggest Keno jackpot in Australian history - a Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot prize worth $7,898,799.30.

Players in New South Wales and the ACT enjoyed more than 34.19 million Keno wins totalling more than $472.51 million at pubs and clubs across the region in the 12 months to 30 June 2019.
