A Mount Isa man has had a holiday he’ll never forget, winning a Keno prize of more than $61,000 during a getaway to south-east Queensland.

The stoked player held a Keno Classic 7 Spot entry with a Bonus multiplier of 10 in draw 127, drawn Saturday 20 March 2021. His total prize is $61,923.40.

Confirming his win with an official from Keno today, the north-west Queenslander explained he’d chosen his winning numbers with his mum.

“We were on holidays in Brisbane,” he explained.

“And we ducked up to the local for dinner.

“Mum and I always put the same numbers on and we knew straight away that it was a winner!

“It was very exciting watching our numbers appear on screen one by one.”

With $61,000 about to hit his bank account, it was time to start thinking about what holiday will come next.

“Well, I suppose our holiday is well and truly paid for,” he laughed.

“As are the next few!”

“And I’ll be sharing the prize with my mum of course!”

The winning entry was purchased at Brighton Hotel, 196 Brighton Terrace, Brighton.

Brighton Hotel assistant manager Kylie Mienert said everyone was excited to hear the venue had sold a major prize winning entry.

“Congratulations to our winner,” she said.

“We are all so happy to see one of our patrons win such a great prize.

“It’s been a few years since we’ve had a big win in venue so we certainly hope this is the first of plenty more.”
