A Kilmore man has declared he is a ‘very happy bloke’ today after discovering he is now a millionaire from winning a Keno 10 Spot prize last night.

The Victorian player won the Keno 10 Spot prize worth $1,092,036.80 in draw 529 on Wednesday 11 September 2019.

The thrilled winner admitted when he discovered his windfall last night, he broke down into tears.

“Gosh I am very good!” he laughed when speaking to a Keno official this morning.

“We just came to Swan Hill for a few nights because the weather has been so beautiful.

“I went out to dinner last night with my missus and put on some Keno using the same numbers I have been using for years.

“I’d heard there had been a 10 Spot winner, so I went up and checked my ticket and that’s when I realised I was the winner.

“I was shocked! I teared up. I was very emotional.

“It blew me away. This is insane, I never thought it would happen to me.

“I feel very blessed. It’s life-changing.

“I am a very happy bloke!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the overwhelmed man said he had plenty of ideas.

“It means I will never have to worry about money ever again,” he admitted.

“I am going to buy my own home. I’m renting now, so I would just love to have my own place.

“I want to get a new car and I am going to be doing lots of road trips around Australia.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Swan Hill RSL Club, 138 Curlewis Street, Swan Hill.

Swan Hill RSL Club manager Kerrie Cooper said the venue was celebrating selling a Keno 10 Spot prize.

“We were thrilled when we found out,” she said.

“It is such great news for our club and for the community.

“All of our patrons are so happy for the winner and for us.

“We hope this is the start of a winning streak and we make more of our patrons happy Keno winners.”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 17 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $47.2 million. This included a Baxter man who didn’t discover he had won a Keno 10 Spot prize of $1,541,399.90 until a fortnight after the draw.

Victorians enjoyed more than 4.48 million Keno wins totalling more than $68 million at pubs and clubs across the state in the 12 months to 30 June 2019.

Keno players can also enter into the monthly second chance draw for the chance to win $10,000 by scanning their ticket at win.secondchance.ken.com.au.
