People dream of winning a major prize once in their lifetime but a Bexley man has revealed he’s feeling “pretty lucky” after taking home a major Keno jackpot for the second time in his life.

The Sydney resident held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 371 on Tuesday 12 March 2019 that scored $58,129.70.

Confirming his prize with a Keno official today, the happy man explained how his major win came to be.

“It was so exciting!” he exclaimed.

“I was at the venue watching it all unfold. I was just sitting there when I saw my numbers pop up and I realised I’d won.

“I couldn’t believe it! I was very excited!

“And when the win was confirmed, it was even better!”

The regular Keno player revealed it wasn’t the first time he’d experienced that ‘winning feeling’.

“About seven years ago I won a Keno Spot 7 jackpot, which was absolutely fantastic!” he said.

“So to win again and this time one spot better, I feel really lucky!

“I’ll pay a few bills and help the kids out a little bit.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning Keno 8 Spot entry at Bexley RSL & Community Club, 24 Stoney Creek Road, Bexley.

In 2018, Keno crowned 16 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $36.47 million.  Ten of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT.

New South Wales players win $43.26 million on average each month playing Keno in pubs and clubs across the state.

Last year in New South Wales alone, players bought 43.26 million Keno tickets and won $519.06 million in cash prizes, including 973 individual 7, 8, 9, and 10 Spot jackpot prizes.
