A Mona Vale musician has hit a high note, winning more than $74,000 in Keno before kicking off his Saturday night gig.
The New South Wales player held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 152 on Saturday 1 June 2019, and takes home $74,440.92.
Confirming his prize with a Keno official today, the Northern Sydney resident explained how he watched the game unfold and the shock he experienced when he saw his numbers unexpectedly appear.
“My partner and I play Keno regularly and I was heading to work so we popped in quickly to the RSL beforehand,” he explained.
“We were just sitting there as all eight numbers popped up on the screen.
“I never use the same numbers, just whatever I feel on the day, so when I saw them appear I was stoked!
“My partner was going nuts, she just kept screaming.
“This is by far the biggest win I’ve ever had on Keno!”
The regular Keno player said he’d certainly be celebrating his windfall.
“We'll be going on a holiday to Europe to celebrate, that’s for sure!” he said.
The man purchased his Keno 8 Spot winning entry at Pittwater RSL Club, 82 Mona Vale Road, Mona Vale.
Pittwater RSL Club CEO Jason Manning said he was ecstatic to discover one of his regular patrons had won a major Keno prize.
“Everyone here is so happy for the winner,” he said.
“We always see big Keno wins happening in various locations throughout the state so it’s great to know it’s happening here as well.
“We’ll certainly be celebrating this milestone!
