A Kariong couple’s dinner outing turned into the ultimate pick-me-up after a challenging few weeks, delivering a thrilling Keno win of more than $180,000.
The Central Coast residents scored the Keno Classic 9 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 286, drawn Wednesday 26 November 2025. They can look forward to a total prize of $183,615.10.
When an official from Keno called the partners in crime, they were still buzzing with excitement but said they needed some time for reality to set in.
“We’re great today! I think when the prize gets to our bank account, it will sink in,” the winning man laughed.
“My partner and I have had a rough past couple of weeks lately, so it’s great timing for us.
“We had a few setbacks, so we decided to go out for dinner to lift our spirits. We certainly had a change of mood after we’d realised our ticket had won!
“I usually choose an 8 Spot ticket if I play Keno, and I always use the same numbers, but we did a 9 Spot this time around and my missus chose the final number.
“We’re just so shocked and excited.
“We’ll pay off a few bills and will use it towards buying a house.
“Thank you so much!”
Their winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at Kariong Family Restaurant Tavern, 10 Langford Drive, Kariong.
