A Donnybrook man and his partner couldn’t help but laugh at themselves as they replayed footage from their home cameras, watching themselves dancing after discovering their $214,000 Keno win.

The victorious Victorian scored the Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot jackpot in draw 827, drawn Monday 9 June 2025 and bagged a total prize of $214,921.20.

The winning man’s contact details weren’t up to date, leaving Keno officials waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and call in.

“It’s been so surreal. It’s very exciting!” he exclaimed.

“To be honest, there’s a bit of a story behind it. I was talking to my partner about home deposits and how we should really crack down and start saving to get into the property market.

“A bit of time passed, and I had about $50 spare, so I thought I’d give Keno a go.

“The next thing I knew, I had won the jackpot prize! It’s really fast tracked the home deposit for us. One minute we were talking about saving and then the next minute, we got the deposit!

“We just started dancing and jumping up and down. It was all a bit embarrassing to look back on our Google home cameras, but very funny at the same time.

“We’re actually going to a nice dinner later tonight.”

Alongside the excitement of buying their very first home, the gleeful man shared that he and his partner were also eagerly counting down the days to treat themselves overseas.

“We’re actually going to Japan soon, and while we have money saved for the trip, this means we can splurge a little bit more,” he laughed.

“We can now go business class and treat ourselves crazy at the Pokémon centre!”

His winning entry was purchased online via the Keno – Let’s Play App.
