An Ipswich dad has re-lived the moment he watched his numbers appear on the Keno screen one by one, winning him more than $190,000.

The south-east Queenslander held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry with a Bonus multiplier of 3 in draw 551, drawn Friday 24 September 2021 and takes home $193,296.80.

Confirming his exciting prize with an official from Keno this morning, the man said he was still reeling from the win.

“It was a really great moment!” he laughed.

“To see my numbers come up one by one on the screen was so exciting!

“I always play different numbers, so I was watching the draw closely.

“I couldn’t believe it when I realised I’d won the big prize. It was such an amazing feeling.

“We were ready to celebrate all night!”

When asked how he thought he might use his Keno fun money, the man said it would be enjoyed by his whole family.

“I am going to use my prize to really spoil my wife and children,” he said.

“We will be able to really enjoy ourselves and spend money on things we wouldn’t usually be able to.

“I’m really looking forward to it!”

The winning entry was purchased at Raceview Tavern, 199 Raceview Street, Raceview.

Raceview Tavern Gaming Manager Tara Ruthenberg said  it was an exciting moment in the venue when the prize was won.

“This prize has gone to such a deserving winner,” she shared.

“We were so happy when we realised someone it our tavern had won this exciting prize.

“We hope they really enjoy their windfall!”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.
