An inner-city Brisbane woman has made a mid-week discovery she’ll never forget, checking her Keno 8 Spot entry to realise she won more than $50,000 on the weekend.

The Queensland player held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 323 on Sunday 13 October 2019, scoring her a prize of $50,462.20.

Confirming her win with a Keno official this morning, the woman revealed she’d forgotten all about the Keno entry she had purchased on the weekend.

“I can’t believe I’ve been holding onto an entry worth $50,000 for days!” she laughed.

“I was playing Keno on Sunday and then left the venue and completely forgot to check my ticket.

“I’ve been playing the same numbers for a long time and I can’t believe they finally appeared.

“They’re my favourite numbers so I am totally chuffed.

“I’ve had a few wins over the years but nothing like this! It’s brilliant.”

When asked how she’d enjoy her Keno windfall, the Brisbane resident thought of her family first.

“I’ll certainly be sharing this with my family,” she explained.

“I’ll pay a few bills and then think about what to do with the rest.

“I’m so excited!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her Keno 8 Spot winning entry at Yeronga Services Club, 391 Fairfield Road, Yeronga.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.
