An Inala Keno player is spending the day celebrating after discovering they won a Keno Classic prize of $66,000.

The Queensland resident held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 461, drawn Wednesday 2 June 2021. Their total prize is $66,033.50.

However, how they plan to enjoy their Keno fun money will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

The winning Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry was purchased at Blue Fin Fishing Club, 24 Lilac Street, Inala.

Blue Fin Fishing Club Senior Duty Manager Kerrie Fenwick said the win was the biggest Keno prize to be won at the venue.

“How awesome!” she exclaimed.

“It’s so great to see one of our patrons win this kind of prize.

“It was such a great atmosphere in venue when the jackpot was won. Everyone was so excited.

“Congratulations to our winner!”

In 2020, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 59.9 million wins collectively worth more than $840.6 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 19 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $42.3 million.  Eight of these major winners were Queenslanders, including a Gold Coast man who won a Keno Classic 10 Spot prize of more than $2.02 million.

Queenslanders enjoyed more than 18.59 million Keno wins totalling more than $264.42 million at pubs and clubs across the state in 2020.

About Keno

Keno is a fun game played at more than 3,500 pubs and clubs across Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria.

A Keno draw occurs approximately every three minutes. During each draw, 20 numbers are drawn from 1 to 80. Players simply match the numbers on their entry to the numbers drawn for a chance to win over $1 million.

There are a range of Keno games to play, including Keno Mega Millions – a higher jackpot version of Keno Classic that uses the same Keno ball draw but gives players the chance to win $5 million or more.
