A Wollongong dad and his two adult children have turned a family outing into a million-dollar memory after their Keno game chalked up a $1.1 million windfall.
The New South Wales residents scored the Keno Classic 10 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 350, drawn Sunday 20 July 2025. Their winning entry bagged $1,182,628 and they can look forward to $394,209.33 each.
An official from Keno spoke to the winning dad, who shared he was still recovering from the thrill of the win.
“I’m still suffering from the shock! I nearly had a heart attack,” he said.
“It was a joint ticket with two of my children, so we’ll be splitting the prize three ways.
“We’re all so excited. I always use our birthday numbers.
“It was funny. I was watching the screen and counting the numbers. I said to my wife, ‘Wow. We’ve got seven numbers,’ and then it hit me, we actually had all 10! I went ‘Sh**!’ and I think I nearly died on the spot.
“It’s a dream come true. It’s come at a perfect time because I’m actually in need of a new car.
“We’ve also been thinking of downsizing our house, but now we’ll be able to stay in our family home!”
The winning Keno Classic entry was purchased from Collegians Leagues Club – Balgownie, 126 Balgownie Rd, Balgownie.
