A Toowoomba man has confessed he’s glad he stuck with his special numbers after bagging a $77,000 Keno win last week.
The Queenslander held a Keno Classic 8 Spot entry in draw 690, drawn Tuesday 16 May 2023, and scored $77,474.20.
“Well, well, well! This feels pretty good doesn’t it!” the winning man exclaimed when an official from Keno called to confirm his windfall.
“It’s definitely a weight off my shoulders. To know I’ve got more than $70,000 heading my way is unbelievable.
“I’d always said that my special numbers would come through, but there was a time there when I considered changing them!
“Imagine that! I’m glad I didn’t obviously.
“I knew I’d get it one day! Now that I have, I’m a bit lost for words.
“First thing’s first, I’ll be doing a few renovations on my home, and then I’m not sure what I’ll do.
“It’ll be nice to see it in my account anyway!
“Thanks so much.”
The winning entry was purchased from Club Glenvale, 564 Boundary Street, Glenvale.
Club Glenvale General Manager Martin Taylor said the team was over the moon for their winning customer.
“It’s always amazing to see a customer win a major prize and it’s definitely put a pep in the step of everyone around the club!” he said.
“We’ll be celebrating for weeks to come and ensuring all of our patrons know that we’re a major prize-winning venue.
“Congratulations to our winning customer and all the best for the future.”
