A Corowa couple have confessed they feel like they’re living on cloud nine after bagging an incredible $250,000 win in a recent Keno draw.
The Murray River residents held a Keno Classic 9 Spot winning entry in draw 899, drawn Sunday 7 May 2023, and took home a total prize of $254,498.30.
“How good is this! We’re still on a bit of a high honestly,” said the winning woman when an official from Keno called to confirm their windfall.
“It’s quite difficult to process.
“We’ve always said, ‘wouldn’t it be nice to play our special numbers and look up and realise we’ve won?’.
“So, on Sunday, we took the family for some lunch and decided to put a couple of games on.
“We weren’t even watching and at some point, the win flashed up on one of the screens.
“I took our ticket up to be checked and I just had this incredible feeling that it was going to be our day.
“Turns out, I wasn’t wrong!”
When asked how they planned to spend their prize, the couple said they weren’t entirely sure but knew they were going to share it with their family.
“All of our children are getting a slice of the pie and we can’t wait to be able to help them out,” she said.
“After that, we’ll just leave it in our account and take some time to think about what we want to do.
“It’s honestly amazing. Thank you so much!”
Their winning Keno Classic 9 Spot winning entry was purchased at Corowa Golf Club, 1 Hume Street, Corowa.
