A Horsley Park man has vowed to never push a lawnmower again after scoring a Keno 8 Spot prize worth over $72,000.

The New South Wales player held a Keno 8 Spot prize winning entry in Keno Classic draw 666 drawn Friday 12 March 2021 and takes home $72,742.80.

Sharing his excitement with an official from Keno, the Sydneysider revealed he was overcome with emotion when he discovered his win.

“I couldn’t believe it! I was so emotional. I nearly cried!” he confessed.

“It’s just been a crazy day. I play Keno often, and I had a winning ticket I wanted to replay.

“So while my partner ducked into the shops to get some mince for dinner, I stopped in and replayed my winning ticket.

“I couldn’t believe it when the new ticket won $72,000! It’s still sinking in.

“We’ve had a bit of a hard time lately, so this will just take a huge weight off my shoulders!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his Keno fun money, the stoked bloke admitted he had his eyes on two new sets of wheels.

“First, I’ll use it to pay some bills and things like that to take the pressure off,” he explained.

“Then I’ll buy a ride-on lawnmower. It feels so good knowing I’ll never have to push a lawnmower across my property ever again.

“We’ve been saving for some new mountain bikes too. We love riding the trails, but the ones we have are so old they are getting dangerous.

“Now we’ll be able to go into the shop and buy the top of the range without even thinking about it.

“What a feeling! It makes me want to cry all over again.”

While he had big plans for his win, the happy man shared his celebrations would be more low key.

“We’ll just cook the mince we bought for dinner and hang out with the dogs,” he laughed.

“We’ve got a property, so there is always something to be done, so the celebrations will be pretty quiet!”

The delighted winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning Keno Classic 8 Spot entry at Horsely Park Tavern, 1 Horsley Drive, Horsley Park.

Horsley Park Tavern Assistant Manager Nicole Gray said it was fantastic to witness one of her customers score a major prize.

“When he realised he had won, he nearly passed out with excitement!” she said.

“It was great to be a part of such an incredible win.

“This is definitely the biggest Keno prize we’ve ever sold, so we are thrilled.

“It’s created a real buzz in the venue.

“Congratulations to our winner! We wish him all the best!”
