A Charlestown woman is looking forward to an upgraded holiday after discovering she scored a Keno win of more than $57,000.

The Lake Macquarie local held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 520, drawn Friday 25 October 2024, and pocketed $57,123.50.

“Thank you very much!” she said while speaking to an official from Keno.

“I was catching up with a friend on Friday afternoon when I won. It was a great way to finish the week.

“I had some things to do over the weekend, so I haven’t really had time to celebrate or even let the win sink in!

“I’m very thankful.

“I’d like to be smart with the prize, so I’ve already started thinking about how I’ll use it.

“I’ve got an upcoming holiday, so I’ll use some for that and put the rest towards the house.”

Her winning Keno Classic 8 Spot entry was purchased from Central Leagues Club, 8 Bula St, Charlestown.

The Central Leagues Club team were delighted to have been a part of someone’s special win and wished them all the best with their prize.

In FY24, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 78.5 million wins collectively worth more than $1.16 billion.

During this time, Keno crowned 18 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $46.7 million.  Eight of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT, including a Shelly Beach dad who scored a $5.92 million windfall.

Players in New South Wales and the ACT enjoyed more than 40.3 million Keno wins totalling more than $588.5 million across the region in FY24.
