A young Hastings man has described the moment he discovered he was over $2.65 million richer after scoring a Keno 10 Spot prize as ‘insane’.
The Victorian man held a Keno 10 Spot winning entry in game 724 on Saturday 9 November 2019, scoring a massive $2,659,973.40 prize.
Sharing his excitement with a Keno official today, the overjoyed winner described the moment he discovered he was a multi-millionaire.
“I was lost for words. I am still lost for words!” he laughed.
“I was at home playing Keno on the app and I looked away at something else and then I looked back just as the draw was finishing.
“I saw that I had nine numbers and thought I might have won a few thousand dollars but then I saw the last number in the draw and realised I had won over two million dollars.
“I just went insane! It was mental!
“I was too shocked to do anything. I think I am still in shock.
“I’ve told a few of my friends and family but I don’t think they believe me. I didn’t believe it at first either.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy life as a newly-minted multi-millionaire, the happy winner confessed he already had his sights set on the property ladder.
“I’ll be investing in real estate first thing,” he declared.
“I’ll get myself a house, a new car and share it with my family.
“There will be a holiday down the track too, but first I just want to set myself up for the future.”
The happy man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his Keno 10 Spot entry on the Keno app and revealed he had only started playing Keno recently.
“I only started playing Keno on the app in the past few weeks after enjoying playing Keno down the pub,” he explained.
“Instead of only playing when I was down the pub I thought the app was a good way to play at any time so I downloaded it and gave it a go.
“I had a win of $50 last week so used that to buy a few more tickets.
“I never expected I would win this much! I still can’t believe it!”
