A Greystanes man has international travel, home renovations and new furniture at the top of his wishlist after winning a Keno prize of more than $50,000.

The New South Wales patron held a Keno Ways winning entry in game 433 on Monday 28 September 2020 and takes home a prize worth $54,021.50.

Confirming his prize with a Keno official this morning, the man explained he was at home when he discovered the news.

“It was very exciting!” he exclaimed

“I play Keno with my friends and on Monday I decided to have a go and I am so glad I did!

“I wasn’t in the club when the draw happened, but I checked my ticket online a little later and couldn’t believe it.

“I just thought ‘wow’!

“It was a great feeling.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the western Sydney player had plenty of ideas.

“It’s come at a great time,” he said.

“My wife has already spent it!

“We’re going to get some home renovations done and purchase a few new pieces of furniture for the house.

“When everything settles down with COVID we’d love to go on a little holiday somewhere. We’ve always wanted to go to Canada!

“It will be fantastic!”

The winning Keno Classic Ways entry was purchased at Cumberland Country Golf Club, 248 Old Prospect Road, Greystanes.

Cumberland Country Golf Club General Manager Andrew Laplain said the win marked an exciting milestone for the venue.

“This is the biggest win we’ve had at the club,” he said.

“It’s great to see this prize go to a local patron.

“There was so much excitement when the win happened.

“Congratulations to him! We hope this is the beginning of many more.”
