A Gold Coast man has shown up to work today, still struggling to believe he scored a multi-million-dollar Keno prize on Friday afternoon.

The Gold Coast local held a Keno 10 Spot winning entry in game 395 on Friday 31 January 2020 and takes home $2,021,111.20.

Confirming his prize with a Keno official this morning, the winner relived the moment he checked his ticket.

“I checked my ticket the following day, on Saturday,” he explained.

“I was in absolute shock.

“I had no idea the jackpot prize had gone off and no idea I had won a multi-million-dollar prize!

“I only play every now and again when I’m out for dinner with my friends and family.

“It’s still sinking in. I really can’t believe it.

“I feel incredibly blessed. It’s going to really change my life!”

The southern Gold Coast resident revealed despite still coming to terms with his life-changing prize, he showed up to work today.

“It’s going to be hard to concentrate today,” he laughed.

“I will definitely keep working and we might use the prize to do some renovations around our home.

“And the rest I will invest very wisely!”

The winning Keno 10 Spot entry was purchased at Palm Beach Hotel, 118 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach.

Palm Beach Hotel assistant manager Mark Symons said it felt great to sell the winning Keno entry.

“There was so much excitement in the venue when we saw the Keno 10 Spot prize was won in our venue,” he explained.

“We’ve had a few huge Keno wins here over the years.

“It’s great to kick off the new year with this huge prize.

“Congratulations to our winner! We hope he really enjoys his prize!”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 17 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $47.2 million. Seven of these major winners were Queenslanders, including a Mackay tradie who scored a Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot prize worth $5,167,445.
