A Gilmore man shared he was completely unaware of his life-enhancing $70,000 Keno win for more than 24 hours and only checked his entry after hearing there was a mystery winner in the area.
The ACT winner held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 798, drawn 10 November 2022, and took home a total prize of $70,918.80.
“Mate, I’ve had an awesome few days!” he yelled when confirming his win with an official from Keno.
“For someone that has never won anything in my life, this feeling is incredible.
“Life hasn’t been easy recently, but this has made my year.
“I didn’t even know I’d won! I’d heard there was a mystery winner in the area but didn’t imagine it was me.
“I’ll look at paying down my mortgage, helping out my mum and maybe booking a holiday.
“I’m a mad golfer, so no doubt I’ll pick up a few new clubs too!
“I can’t tell you what this means to me!
“Thank you!”
The winning Keno entry was purchased at Chisholm Vikings, 4 Benham Street, Chisholm.
Chisholm Vikings venue manager Jess Barraclough said she hoped their latest big Keno winner enjoyed their prize.
“It’s such an exciting win – not only for the winner but also our staff, members and their guests,” she said.
“Seventy thousand dollars is life changing! Congratulations to the lucky winner. We couldn’t be happier for them!”
