A generous Callala Beach woman can’t wait to surprise her sister with a new car after discovering she’s the third winner of Keno’s ‘30 years of Keno – Win a T-Cross Promotion’.
The South Coast resident scored a brand-new Volkswagen T-Cross 85TSI Life 7 Speed DSG valued at $30,700, simply by purchasing a ticket of $10 or more at a participating New South Wales club.
The winning woman admitted she’d always believed she’d never win anything – until now.
“When I started receiving calls from you, I assumed you were scamming me, so I ignored your calls,” she shared.
“But, after you kept calling, texting, and emailing me, I thought I’d better call you back. You were persistent! I’m certainly glad you were, and I answered eventually.
“I’m pretty surprised by this. It’s awesome!
“I never win anything. But my sister has been struggling a bit lately and desperately needs a new car. So, I told her I’d enter the competition to see if I could win her a car.
“This car isn’t even for me! I’m going to give it to her. She’s been through a tough time lately, so I know this will cheer her up. I’m so excited to tell her.
“When I call her, I bet she won’t believe me. I’m probably going to have to do a great deal of convincing myself!
“She’ll be excited once she realises it’s true, and I’m not kidding.
“We will get a nice bottle of champagne and do some celebrating tonight.
“I know she’s got a busy day ahead, so I can imagine she’ll be looking forward to it.
“Thank you so much! This really is the best news.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Callala RSL Country Club, Callala Beach.
The 30 Years of Keno promotion runs for another two weeks. Each week there’s a chance to drive home in a new Volkswagen T-Cross.
