A Melton man is prancing into the New Year as a newly minted multi-millionaire after unwrapping more than $2 million in one of today’s Keno draws.
The victorious Victorian scored the Keno Classic 10 Spot jackpot in draw 357, drawn Friday 27 December 2024. He pocketed a total of $2,008,722.60.
The gleeful father shared he hadn’t slept a wink since discovering the life-changing news.
“I’ve been waiting for your call! Thank you so much,” he cheered.
“It feels like a dream! I haven’t slept all night.
“It’s a funny story. I usually play each week, just putting $10 or less on in the middle of the night because I’ve always known that one day if I won, I would wake my wife up from her sleep and tell her I won.
“I couldn’t believe my manifestation really came true. My wife was so shocked, she started crying happy tears.
“The crazy thing is, I only put on one game and spent only $1.”
With more than $2 million about to hit his bank account, the devoted dad is eager to secure his family’s future and fulfil a heartfelt Christmas wish.
“We’re really just an average family, so this is going to help more than you know. It’s going to set us up,” he said.
“We can pay off our mortgage, and one of our children's wishes from Santa was to go on holiday. That can definitely come true now.
“It’s a Christmas miracle!”
His winning entry was purchased online via The Keno app.
In FY24, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 78.5 million wins collectively worth more than $1.16 billion.
During this time, Keno crowned 18 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $46.7 million.
