A Holbrook man’s dream of buying a caravan can now be a reality after a casual day on the green turned into an $80,000 Keno windfall.
The New South Wales resident scored the Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 939, drawn Saturday 10 January 2026. He pocketed a total prize of $80,067.40.
When an official from Keno confirmed the win, the gleeful man shared it had finally started to sink in.
“It’s awesome! It feels a bit more real now,” he said.
“I’d just finished lawn bowls when I put on a ticket. Then I forgot about it and went home.
“The next day I went in, and everyone had been saying ‘Who’s the bloke that won?’. Turns out it was me!
“I was pretty stoked. After that, I shouted everyone drinks at the bar to celebrate.
“We’ve already thought about what we’ll do, and we want to buy a caravan. It’s been on our minds for a while so it’s great we finally can do it.”
His winning Keno Mega Millions entry was purchased at Holbrook Returned Services Club, 38 Swift St, Holbrook.
