An Eatons Hill mum is happily looking forward to treating her family after she used their birthdates on a Keno entry that yesterday delivered her more than $132,000.

The Moreton Bay region winner held a Keno 9 Spot winning entry in game 949 on Wednesday 1 May 2019 that scored a total jackpot prize of $132,384.20.

The woman admitted to a Keno official this morning she still couldn’t quite believe she had won the major prize.

“I couldn’t sleep last night,” she laughed.

“I was having lunch yesterday with a friend, and I actually happened to watch the draw, which isn’t something I normally do. I couldn’t believe it when the numbers came up. I still think it’s unbelievable.

“I went to the counter and said ‘I’ve won! I’ve won!’. Initially, the woman there thought I’d made a mistake as I’ve done this before, but when she scanned the ticket, it was true!”

The regular Keno player said she had been marking her Keno entry with her children’s birthdates for many years.

“My kids are all grown up now, but they could do with a little bit of help so I’ll probably give a lot of it to them,” she shared.

“That will make me happy to see them happy.”

The delighted woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning Keno 9 Spot entry at Geebung RSL, 323 Newman Road, Geebung.

Geebung RSL Operations Manager Alicia Boyle said the club was celebrating seeing one its regular customers take home a big Keno prize.

“She was very excited. This 9 Spot win is the biggest one we’ve given away in a while,” she said.

“It was exciting for her and it was exciting for us as well. We wish her all the very best with her prize. I’m sure she’ll enjoy it!

“We look forward to welcoming more big Keno wins at the club in the future!”

In 2018, Keno crowned 16 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $36.47 million. Six of these major winners were Queenslanders.

Queenslanders won $25.87 million on average each month playing Keno in pubs and clubs across the state.

Last year in Queensland alone, players bought 34.76 million Keno tickets and won $310.64 million in cash prizes, including 494 individual 7, 8, 9, and 10 Spot jackpot prizes.
