  • A Fairy Meadow woman has struggled to stay still at work after her Thursday night tradition led her to a $194,000 Keno win.

The Wollongong resident scored the Keno Classic 9 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 262, drawn Thursday 10 July 2025. She can look forward to $194.694.80.

The joyous winner was still buzzing with excitement when an official from Keno spoke with her on Friday.

“I still can’t believe it!” she laughed.

“I worked this morning, and it was probably the hardest shift I’ve ever had to do. I just couldn’t stop thinking about my win.

“I go to the ‘Jag the Joker’ night at the Charles Hotel every Thursday with the Wollongong Rotary Club.

“I usually enter the raffle and play a few games of Keno while I’m there. I always use family birthday numbers.

“I had stepped out of the room, and when I came back, I saw all my numbers on the screen.

“I thought ‘My goodness’, and I wasn’t even sure if my ticket still had games left on it. I checked and sure enough, I still had two more games left. I’m still in awe!

“I’m very excited because I’ll be able to use it towards my retirement.”

Her winning Keno classic entry was purchased from Charles Hotel, 98 Princes Highway, Fairy Meadow.

Charles Hotel spokesperson Ian Redpath said the team was happily sharing the excitement with their major Keno winner.

“What an incredible win for our patron! It’s always great hearing these winning stories and now we have another one to share with our patrons,” he said.

“We’re thrilled for our customer and we hope to see more Keno winners in our venue soon.

Congratulations to them. We have no doubt they’ll enjoy their prize!”
