The sky’s the limit for a Fairfield Heights man after his long weekend was topped off with a $1.8 million Keno win, and he’s celebrating with first-class flights.

The Sydney resident scored the Keno Classic 10 Spot Jackpot in Keno draw 482, drawn Sunday 8 June 2025 and bagged a whopping $1,895,471.80.

When an official from Keno called the newfound millionaire, he confessed he was still wrapping his head around the enormity of his win.

“It’s not a small number! It’s huge. It’s only just starting to sink in,” he said.

“I have an upcoming holiday and I’m going to upgrade our flights to first class instead of economy. I’ve never flown first class, so I can’t wait.

“Then I can pay off the rest of my house, and whatever’s left, we can enjoy.

“It was such a great way to top off the long weekend. We were just having dinner as normal and then my friend said, ‘I think someone won the 10 Spot Jackpot in the club’. That’s when I realised it could be me.

“We went and checked my ticket, and we couldn’t believe it when it actually was me.

“We were so pleased it was the public holiday the next day so we could celebrate.

“I always play the same numbers. Sometimes I’ll do an 8 or 9 Spot instead but luckily, I did the 10 Spot this time.

“Thank you so much. I feel like a very lucky guy.”

His winning entry was purchased from Assyrian Sports and Cultural Club, 52-54 Stanbrook St, Fairfield Heights.

Assyrian Sports and Cultural Club Chief Executive Officer Andrew Anoih said the team was honoured to have played a small part in someone’s big win.

“It was an absolutely memorable moment. We’re incredibly proud to have been the lucky venue where this life-changing win occurred. It’s a testament to the positive and vibrant atmosphere we strive to maintain here at our club,” he said.

“There was a noticeable sense of excitement throughout the venue as word of the win quietly spread. Patrons responded with warm congratulations and shared in the moment with genuine goodwill.

"It was one of those quietly memorable evenings that reinforced the strong sense of community within our club.

“This is the largest Keno win we’ve sold to date in our club’s 52-year history, and it has already become a proud part of our story. Prior to this, the most significant win was approximately $10,000, which occurred around six years ago, making this recent result all the more remarkable.

“On behalf of the entire club, we extend our warmest congratulations. It’s always uplifting to see a life-changing win like this, and we wish the winner all the very best for the future.”

In 2024, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 76 million wins collectively worth more than $1.19 billion.

During this time, Keno crowned 23 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $54.9 million. Eleven of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT, including an East Maitland dad who scored a $6.6 million windfall.

Players in New South Wales and the ACT enjoyed more than 38.9 million Keno wins totalling more than $599.2 million across the region in 2024.
