An Emerald Beach man is still struggling to get his head around the fact he finished the weekend as a millionaire after winning a Keno Classic 10 Spot prize.

The New South Wales patron held a Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry in game 206 on Sunday 19 July 2020 and takes home a prize of $1,023,868.80.

Confirming his life-changing windfall with an official from Keno this morning, the winner explained he was still in shock.

“Thank you so much,” he said.

“I keep thinking it’s a joke! I am still celebrating.

“It’s insane, isn’t it?

“It was the first time in a long time I’ve played Keno.

“I was in the venue with some mates and when it came up on the screen that someone had won the 10 Spot, there was no way I thought it was me!

“When I scanned my ticket, it was just pure shock. I was completely in shock!

“I think I still am to be honest.”

When asked how he thought he might enjoy his Keno prize, the man said he’d be investing it wisely.

“I’ll certainly be investing in my future,” he said.

“This is going to set me up for life.

“I’ll be starting by buying my first home.

“It’s amazing! I can’t get over it.”

The winning Keno Classic 10 Spot entry was purchased at Seaview Tavern - Woolgoolaga, 51 River Street, Woolgoolga.

Seaview Tavern – Woolgoolga Managing Director Mark Mihai said they were thrilled one of their patrons had scored a major Keno prize.

“We were ecstatic and also in shock that our venue had sold the winning ticket,” he said.

“There’s nothing more exciting for the team than seeing one of our patrons take home a huge prize. We’ve been celebrating ever since.

“We congratulate our winner and have absolutely no doubt they’ll enjoy their Keno fun money.”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.
