A man from Lismore is envisioning himself cruising down the Northern Rivers streets in a brand-new set of wheels after nabbing a $83,000 Keno 8 Spot windfall at his local club.
The New South Welshman scored the Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot win in draw 254, drawn Tuesday 19 December 2023 and took home a total prize of $83,449.00.
“It’s such great news,” he exclaimed when an official from Keno called to confirm the newfound fortune.
“We were relaxing at the local Lismore club, and I decided to treat myself to a game of Keno.
“I’ve always played the same special numbers – wedding anniversary dates, and some family members’ favourite numbers.
“We’re going to celebrate with a couple drinks of bubbly tonight and share the winning moment with some close friends.
“I think I might upgrade the car. It’s about time!”
The winning man who wishes to remain completely anonymous purchased his winning Keno Mega Millions ticket at Lismore Heights Sports, Recreation and Community Club, 181 High Street, Lismore Heights.
In FY23, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 95.42 million wins collectively worth more than $1.34 billion.
During this time, Keno crowned 20 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $46 million. Eight of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT, including a Sydneysider who picked up a $3.81 million windfall.
