A Shellharbour man has revealed November is his lucky month, delivering him a “dream-come-true” Keno win of almost $300,000.
The New South Wales player held a Keno 9 Spot winning entry in game 515 on Thursday 21 November 2019, taking home a prize worth $296,805.10.
Confirming his win with a Keno official this afternoon, the man explained this isn’t the first time he’s scored a major prize.
“Thank you!” he exclaimed.
“November seems to be my lucky month! Last year in November I won a Keno 8 Spot prize. But this is even better!
“I decided to give the 9 Spot a go yesterday and then went to check my ticket this morning.
“I had no idea! I can’t believe it was me.
“I always play the same numbers, they aren’t based on anything special but they’re definitely my lucky numbers now!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the winner said he had plenty of ideas.
“This has come at such a good time,” he explained.
“It means we will finally be able to do some renovations around the house.
“I definitely want to take a holiday overseas in the new year as well.
“This will help me so much. It’s a dream come true!”
The regular Keno player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his Keno 9 Spot winning entry at Ocean Beach Hotel, 2 Addison Street, Shellharbour.
Ocean Beach Hotel general manager Haley May said she was excited to discover one of her patrons has won such a huge prize.
“Everyone at the venue has been buzzing with excitement knowing that this will really change this man’s life,” she exclaimed.
“We haven’t had a win this big before. The last Keno win was around $20,000 so we are thrilled.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.
