A Kirrawee man is dancing into his week as a newly minted multi-millionaire after his unique way of playing Keno yielded him two major jackpots worth more than $6 million in a single draw.

The New South Wales resident held a Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry and a Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot winning entry in draw 532, drawn Sunday 20 October 2024.

The Keno Classic 10 Spot entry scored $1,023,365.40, while the Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot entry won $5,703,663.40. His total windfall was $6,727,028.80.

While Keno Classic and Keno Mega Millions are two separate games with separate jackpots, the winning numbers are generated from the same draw.

By playing his special set of numbers in both games in the same draw, he won both jackpots simultaneously.

“I’m fantastic. It’s fabulous news!” he cheered when an official from Keno spoke to him after his double win.

“I’m over the moon. It’s honestly still sinking in.

“We were out for dinner, I put a few bucks on, and the rest is history.

“It was pretty amazing that I played both games, Keno Classic and Keno Mega Millions. It really worked out well.

“I’ve used these same numbers for a while. They’re certainly my lucky numbers now.

“Thank you so much. It’s going to change a lot of things.

“I can help my family, and I’ll have a good think about what else I’ll do.”

His winning entries were purchased at Tradies Caringbah, 28-30 Banksia Road, Caringbah.

The Tradies Caringbah team were thrilled for their winning customer and wished them all the best with their prize.

In FY24, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 78.5 million wins collectively worth more than $1.16 billion.
