Before treating himself, a Bowral man says his $230,000 Keno win will be used to wipe his mum’s bills and give her peace of mind.
The Southern Highlands resident scored the Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot jackpot in draw 392, drawn Wednesday 11 March 2026. He looks forward to a total prize of $230,537.50.
Remarkably, this is the second major Keno prize to land in Bowral this month, with another Bowral man already enjoying his win.
“It really hasn’t sunk in just yet,” he said.
“I can do a lot of things with over $200,000.
“I was out for lunch when the jackpot went off and I thought to myself, ‘some lucky person has won it’.
“It wasn’t until I was home later that I checked my ticket on the app and realised it was me. It was a very good surprise.
“It’s fair to say there were a number of celebrations after that.”
With $230,000 soon to hit his bank account, the winning man shared giving back to his mum was top of mind.
“I could do so much. I’d love to help my mum out and clear some of her bills,” he said.
“I’ve also had a few issues with my car so now could be the time for an upgrade.”
His winning Keno Mega Millions entry was purchased at Bowral Hotel Motor Inn Keno, 412 Bong Bong Street, Bowral.
Bowral Hotel Motor Inn Keno manager Lydia shared the entire team was over the moon to discover they’d sold another major prize-winning Keno ticket in the space of a week.
“Everyone here is over the moon and so excited for our winners. We can’t believe we’ve done it twice in one week,” she said.
“This win is the biggest we’ve had in venue since I’ve been working here.
“We’d like to extend a big congratulations to both of our winners from the past week. You both deserve these prizes and we hope you enjoy them!”
