A Dapto man has confessed that he had sensed that his $52,000 Keno 8 Spot win was just around the corner after landing successive wins in the preceding weeks.

The Wollongong resident scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot win in draw 477, drawn Wednesday 17 January 2024 and looks forward to his biggest prize yet - $52,502.80.

The regular player explained that he and his father have both had their fair share of wins – as playing Keno together was had been a favourite family pastime.

“I was in shock,” he laughed.

“I had a feeling this win was coming.

“I had put on seven numbers the day before and had won a bit on that ticket.

“When we were at the local club again the next evening, I decided to use the winnings to give it another go. Then I heard someone had won the jackpot prize, but I didn’t know if it was me.

“Once we found out about the win, we were over the moon. We wanted to celebrate but it was pretty late in the evening.

“It’s the most I’ve ever won but my dad has won more than me.

“Thank you so much.”

The New South Welshman revealed he had been eyeing a brand-new caravan to enjoy at holiday parks and would now make that dream a reality.

“I’d like to buy a caravan, a holiday caravan,” he shared.

“We can make some nice memories!”

His winning entry was purchased at Dapto Citizens Bowling Club, 102 Fowlers Road, Dapto.

Dapto Citizens Bowling Club administration officer Jason Smith said he was pleased to hear a local man had picked up the win.

“We’re very happy to have sold the Keno jackpot prize to a local and regular customer. The biggest win we’ve had before this one was only $15,000!” he shared.

“It’s a great way to kick off the new year and we’re sure the winner is very stoked. When we spoke to the winner, he was really nice, and we’re glad it went to him.

“Congratulations to the winning man and we wish him all the best.”
