A Cloncurry man has relived the exciting moment he witnessed his eight Keno numbers appear on the Keno screen, winning him more than $56,000.

The western Queensland player held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in game 676 on Saturday 18 July 2020 and takes home $56,224.60.

Sharing his joy with an official from Keno this morning, the man said he was still reeling from the momentous occasion.

“Thank you very much,” he laughed.

“I am so happy!

“I was there when it all unfolded! I looked up at the Keno screen and saw that I had the first number, then the second, the third and all of a sudden I had all eight numbers!

“I knew straight away that I’d won. It was very exciting.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his Keno fun money, the winning man said he couldn’t wait to visit his family and friends and spoil them.

“I can go on a holiday now!” he exclaimed.

“I have plenty of family spread out across the state so I can’t wait to take some time to go and visit them all.

“I’d also love to treat myself to some new furniture and a new car.

“It will be great!”

The winning Keno Classic 8 Spot entry was purchased at Central Hotel, 46 Scarr Street, Cloncurry.

Central Hotel spokesperson Jim Molloy said the team was happily celebrating the momentous Keno win.

“While we’re no stranger to Keno wins, this is the biggest Keno winning entry we’ve seen for a while.  It’s incredibly exciting,” he said.

“We hope this is the start of many major big wins for our patrons.

“We wish our winner all the best!”
